This is another salad recipe that I want to share with everybody. The mayonnaise salad may be the simplest salad and probably everybody knows about it. However, I believe that someone out there might have never seen it. The first time I had this salad was in Kyrgyzstan, where Apa (my mother-in-law) use to prepare it as an accompaniment for her Kyrgyz-style fried macaroni.
We all know that vegetables are good for our health. Thus, it is important to add them into our daily meal. Salad is the simplest and quickest way to do that. Just add different kind of vegetables, squeeze a lemon juice, add olive oil and season with salt and pepper, and voila – a bowl of salad ready to be served.
Kyrgyz Salad is a simple combination of two main ingredients i.e. cucumber and tomatoes. Kyrgyz family mostly will serve this salad during summer as a side dish, to be eaten with Kyrgyz Plov or fried macaroni. Most of us only familiar with yogurt in plastic container sitting on the shelves of supermarket that comes with variety of flavors. But a plain yogurt can be enjoyed in another way as a different dish. This refreshing yogurt recipe is a great accompaniment to meat dishes such as kebab or grilled meat, or simply enjoy with bread.
I am always looking for simple yet delicious food, cucumber & beef is one of them. As portrayed in the name it’s simply a combination of cucumber and beef. I don’t really know what it is called.
